     Lee Cole Updegraff was born on 25 November 1903 at Alpena, Alpena County, Michigan.1 He was the son of Martin George Updegraff and Gertrude Elizabeth Cole. Lee Cole Updegraff married, at age 30, Jean Marseilles, age 32, daughter of Arthur W. Marseilles and Agnes Denehey, on Saturday, 7 April 1934 at Buffalo, Erie County, New York.2 Lee Cole Updegraff died on 1 August 1977 at age 73 years, 8 months and 7 days.1
     He was a manager for Union Carbide International.
