     Elizabeth Kiess was born in January 1845 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Wilhelm Kiess and Dorothea Waltz. Elizabeth Kiess has also been reported to have been born 1846. She married Jacob H. Miller, son of Jacob Frederick Miller and Barbara Cordelia Wolf, in 1868.3,4 Elizabeth Kiess died in 1906 at Pennsylvania at age 61 years.5
     She and Jacob H. Miller are thought to have had a total of 4 children, but only one surrvived. No further information on these additional children is available at this time.
