Thomas John Schaefer Heim was born on 20 April 1895 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of David Jacob Heim and Hulda M. Schaeffer. Thomas John Schaefer Heim married, at age 23, Ruth Haines, age 23 on Thursday, 12 September 1918.2 Thomas John Schaefer Heim married, at age 25, Esther Brown, age 22 on Thursday, 31 March 1921.2 Thomas John Schaefer Heim married, at age 68, Gertrude Meeds, age 65 on Tuesday, 4 June 1963. Thomas John Schaefer Heim died on 23 August 1974 at Chester County Hospital, West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 79 years, 4 months and 3 days.3 He was buried in the Oakland Cemetery, located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania.3
He was College Instructor. He He graduated from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Union County, PA in 1919. He was a history teacher from 1920 to 1925 at Williamsport High School. He was head of the Social Studies Department from 1925 to 1937 at Slippery Rock State College. He was a Social Studies professor at West Chester State University from 1937 to 1959 from which he retired.
