Margaret Dorothea Schaeffer was born on 10 April 1890 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Jacob Thomas Schaeffer and Sarah Elizabeth Ulmer. Margaret Dorothea Schaeffer married, at age 20, Horace Arthur Shafer, age 24, son of Ephraim Shafer and Melinda Koch, on Tuesday, 27 December 1910.2 Margaret Dorothea Schaeffer died on 14 March 1954 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 63 years, 11 months and 4 days.3 She was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
