Johann B. Waltz

     Johann B. Waltz was born on 11 March 1845 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Conrad Waltz and Dorothea Wolf. Johann B. Waltz married Regina D. Heim, daughter of Jacob Heim and Regina Rachael Steiger.² Johann B. Waltz died on 7 June 1909 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 64 years, 2 months and 27 days.¹ He was buried in the Anthony Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

According to my father's story, his grandfather gave land to build Anthony Baptist Church on adjoining property. History of church seems to indicate it might have been his great-grandfather, Conrad. (need date/deed)

1870 census shows John B., Rachel J., and baby Jacob on property numbered in sequence after Conrad's. John B.'s listing has no real estate value; thus, the property was probably still in Conrad's name. Isaiah, Joseph, Emmanuel, and William were all still listed with Conrad. When my father was a boy, his uncle Isaiah lived on the next farm. I believe that Emmanuel eventually also had part of the property (information from LaRue Pepperman, who grew up with my father, and said that his grandfather lived in that same vicinity).¹
