     Mary Katherine Kurtz was born on 11 May 1873 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Isaak Kurz and Katharina Miller.1 Mary Katherine Kurtz died on 10 April 1912 at Guntur, India, at age 38 years, 10 months and 30 days.3
     She was a high school teacher and missionary in India.1
