     Walter J. Kurtz was born in November 1876 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of Isaak Kurz and Katharina Miller.3 Walter J. Kurtz married Annie T. Hensyl, daughter of Sarah [—?—], in 1900.4 Walter J. Kurtz died in 1941 at Howard, Centre County, Pennsylvania, at age 64 years.5 He was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     He was a general physician.6
