Charles Alexander Robinson was born on 1 August 1904 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,3 He was the son of George T. Robinson and Mary L. DuVall. Charles Alexander Robinson married, at age 24, Hazel Kathyrn Kinley, age 21, daughter of William Boyd Kinley and Rachel Dora Waltz, on Tuesday, 9 April 1929 at Evangelical Church Parsonage, 2351 Dove Street, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4 Charles Alexander Robinson died on 18 April 1977 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, at age 72 years, 8 months and 17 days.2,3 He was buried on 21 April 1977 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5
Charles attended Bottle Run No. 2, Old Lycoming Twp., Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania during the 1910 - 1911 school year. A. C. Paulhamus, was the teacher. Board of Education consisted of George W. Bennett, President; L. H. Pidcoe, Secretary; Amos Smith, Treasurer; Chris Bower; Daniel Berry; Clarence Sholder; and G. Bruce Milnor, County Superintendent. He was employed by the Sweets Steel Company between 1935 and 1970. His obituary was published sometime in April 1977 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Charles A. Robinson, 72, of Williamsport RD 5, died at 10 p.m. Monday, April 18, 1977, in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Robinson was a retired employee of the former Sweets Steel Co., where he had been employed for 35 years. He later was employed by the former Pennsylvania Department of Highways, retiring in 1971.
Mr. Robinson was an elder and former trustee of Bethel United Presbyterian Church and was treasurer of the church school. He was an officer in the Lycoming County Sabbath School Association.
He was treasurer of Bottle Run Grange 1290; treasurer of the Past Master Club of Lycoming County Grange, and a seventh degree member of the National Grange Organization.
He was also a member of the Heshbon Senior Citizens Club.
Born August 1, 1904, in the home where he lived his entire life, he was a son of George T. and May L. DuVall Robinson.
Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Kinley; four sons, R. Clair, Richard L. and Dave W., all of Linden; and Donald P., of Cogan Station; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Levan, of Williamsport RD 2; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Codney, of Trout Run RD 1, and 15 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church, Bottle Run Road, with the Rev. Reginald W. McInroy, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The fmily will provide the flowers.
