     Anna M. Kurtz was born on 22 February 1908 at Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,3,4 She was the daughter of Jonathan C. Kurtz and Estella Lowe.3,5,6 Anna M. Kurtz married Cyrus West Casner, son of Cyrus H. Casner and Josephine Folk, circa 1934.3 Anna M. Kurtz died on 25 June 2000 at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 92 years, 4 months and 3 days.2,3 She was buried on 28 June 2000 in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, located in Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Glenn F. Myers.3
     Her obituary was published on 27 June 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Anna M. Casner, 92, of 6905 Pleasant Valley Road,Cogan Station, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Center, where she lived for the past week. Her husband of 45 years, Cyrus West Casner, died in July 1979.

She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Co. and the Eldred Grange. She attended the former Christian Hill School in Eldred Township. Born Feb. 22, 1908, in Eldred Township, she was a daughter of Jonathan and Estella Lowe Kurtz.

Surviving are two daughters, Rose Anna Read of Cogan Station and Susan M. Quigel of this city; two sons, Harold Kurtz of this city; three sisters, Mary Kurtz and Madaline Koser, both of Montoursville and Alma Waltz of this city; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the church, 5658 Warrensville Road, with the Rev. Glen F. Myers, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Eldred Township. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers. Arrangements are being handled by Spitler s, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.3
