     Mahlon M. Kurtz was born on 4 March 1890 at Pennsylvania.3,4 He was the son of Samuel Kurtz and Rebecca Young.5 Mahlon M. Kurtz married Mary Rebecca Kurtz, daughter of Jonathan C. Kurtz and Estella Lowe, circa 1930.6,7 Mahlon M. Kurtz died on 12 May 1959 at Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 69 years, 2 months and 8 days.8,9,10 He was buried in the Kurtz Family Cemetery, located in Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.11
     The obituary for Mary Rebecca Kurtz on 20 July 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, listed Mahlon M. Kurtz as her deceased husband.12
