Donna Lee Waltz was born on 10 May 1937 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,2 She was the daughter of Phillip Larue Waltz and Laura May Wagner.1 Donna Lee Waltz married, at age 18, Clair David Entz, son of Herbert Samuel Entz and Lillian G. Wilson, on Saturday, 29 October 1955.3 Donna Lee Waltz died on 5 April 2007 at Divine Providence Hospital, The Gatehouse, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 69 years, 10 months and 26 days.3,2
Not yet complete.4 Her obituary was published on 7 April 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Donna L. Entz, 69, of 210 Zinck Road, Jersey Shore, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday, April 5, 2007, at the Gatehouse at the Divine Providence Hospital.
Donna will be remembered by many for her late night calls, her neck pillows and her chamois shirts, but most of all for her love for Christ. No matter what happened in her life, she was willing to share her faith with family, friends and strangers. Donna looked forward to the day when she would see her Savior face to face.
She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many; you are loved and missed.
Donna was born May 10, 1937 in Williamsport, the daughter of P. Larue Waltz and the former Laura Waltz Swarthout.
Her mother and father, a daughter, LeaAnna J. Waltz, and a granddaughter, Lindsay Michelle Entz, preceded her in death.
Her husband, C. David Entz, survives her. They were united in marriage Oct. 29, 1955 in the Quiggleville United Methodist Church. Also surviving is a daughter, Linda J. (Troy) Kanouff of Linden; two sons, Eugene D. (Michelle) Entz of Jersey Shore and Ronald L. (Cora) Entz of Jersey Shore; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Martha M. (Clyde) Myers of Linden and Marlene K. (Jack) Hertel of Newberry; one brother, Clair L. (Lois) Waltz of Linden.
For many years Donna attended the Pine Run United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Larry’s Creek Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
A service in remembrance of Donna will be Monday, April 9, at 11 a.m. in the Pine Run United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Monday until time of services in the church. Burial will be in the State Road Cemetery. Pastor Philip Meanor and the Rev. Wayne Hepler will officiate. Family will provide flowers and request memorial contributions be made in her name to the Gatehouse at the Divine Providence Hospital, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701. Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, is in charge of arrangements.3 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Donna's last known residence was Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
