Helen Cope Ritter was born on 24 March 1887 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Abraham Howard Ritter and Mary Grier Cope. Helen Cope Ritter married, at age 23, Robert William Ligget, age 17, son of Howard Blackwood Ligget and Emma Louise Casey, on Saturday, 30 April 1910 at Saint Clement's Episcopal Church, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.2 Helen Cope Ritter died on 19 December 1977 at age 90 years, 8 months and 25 days.1 She was buried in the Woodlands Cemetery, located in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
