     Rachel Grimes was born on 31 May 1808 at Tennessee. She was the daughter of George Grimes and Nancy Carlock. Rachel Grimes married John Yoakum, son of Isaac Yoakum and Mary Davis, in 1828. Rachel Grimes died on 22 September 1888 at Oregon at age 80 years, 3 months and 21 days.
