Barbara VanBebber was born on 6 December 1830 at Tennessee. She was the daughter of William VanBebber and Elizabeth Barbee. Barbara VanBebber married, at age 25, Thomas Dudley Mayes, age 27, son of Wiley Mayes and Susannah Powell, on Thursday, 6 December 1855 at Ray County, Missouri. Barbara VanBebber died on 26 September 1904 at Caldwell County, Missouri, at age 73 years, 9 months and 20 days. She was buried in the Prairie Ridge Cemetery, located in Caldwell County, Missouri.
