Thomas Dudley Mayes

Thomas Dudley Mayes was born on 30 October 1828 at Tennessee. He was the son of Wiley Mayes and Susannah Powell. Thomas Dudley Mayes first married, at age 20, Elizabeth Craven, age 18 on Sunday, 23 September 1849. Thomas Dudley Mayes married a second time, at age 27, Barbara VanBebber, age 25, daughter of William VanBebber and Elizabeth Barbee, on Thursday, 6 December 1855 at Ray County, Missouri. Thomas Dudley Mayes died on 30 March 1900 at Caldwell County, Missouri, at age 71 years and 5 months. He was buried in the Prairie Ridge Cemetery, located in Caldwell County, Missouri.
He became a widower at the age of 26 with the death of Elizabeth on 2 July 1855.
