     Samuel Jay MacMullan IV was born on 5 May 1940 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Samuel Jay MacMullan III and Ellen Snyder.1 Samuel Jay MacMullan IV married, at age 25, Susan Eisler, daughter of John M. Eisler and Dorothy Staples, on Saturday, 28 August 1965 at Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania.1 Samuel Jay MacMullan IV died on 29 April 1997 at age 56 years, 11 months and 24 days.2
     Samuel has his B.S. from Penn State and his M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.1 He was an engineer for Lees / Northrup in 1970.1
