Jacob Koch was born in 1837 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Henry Koch and Anna Maria Kurz. Jacob Koch married Magdalena Edler, age 21, daughter of Jacob Edler and Anna Maria Renz, on Sunday, 29 January 1860. Jacob Koch died on 5 January 1867 at age 30 years. He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
