Kenneth S. Waltz was born on 3 March 1915 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Clayton Waltz and Cora M. Entz.1 Kenneth S. Waltz married, at age 25, Olive Della Foulk, age 24, daughter of Reverend Harry Peter Foulk and Ida May Sigafoos, on Wednesday, 14 August 1940 at Hepburn Baptist Church, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Harry Peter Foulk, Reverend Lester C. Barton and Reverend Orville E. Mellquist.2,1 Kenneth S. Waltz died on 5 August 2007 at Roseview Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 92 years, 5 months and 2 days.1 A memorial service for Kenneth S. Waltz was held First Baptist Church, 380 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on 8 August 2007 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Gwen N. Bernstine and Reverend Ronald D. Savits officiating.1

MR., MRS. WALTZ OBSERVE 25th ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth S. Waltz, Williamsport RD 2, observed their 25th wedding anniversary recently.
The couple was married in the Hepburn Baptist Church of Cogan Station with the Rev. Harry P. Foulk, assisted by the Rev. Lester C. Barton and the Rev. Orville K. Mellquist, officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Waltz are members of the Buchanan Baptist Church, Williamsport RD 2.
Open house was given by their children and a family dinner celebration followed.
The Waltzs have five sons and daughters, Larry K., a senior at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary; Mrs. Theron J. Fox, Jr., Montoursville; Mrs. Lawrence Green, Williamsport RD, and Jeannette and David, at home. There are two grandsons.
He was GTE Sylvania. His obituary was published on 6 August 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Kenneth S. Waltz, 92, of 1123 Youngs Road, Linden, died Sunday, August 5, 2007, in RoseView Center.
Born March 3, 1915, in Hepburn Township, he was a son of Clayton and Cora Entz Waltz.
He was a graduate of Hepburn High School. He retired from GTE Sylvania and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. Ken played in the New Horizons Band. He was a former member and very active in Buchanan Baptist Church, having served as choir director and Sunday school teacher for many years. He currently is a member of First Baptist Church where his son is senior pastor.
Ken was an avid outdoors person, enjoying fishing, gardening, woodworking and was a self-taught naturalist. He and his wife loved traveling. He truly had a community spirit for helping others.
Following the death of his first wife (of 55 years), the former Olive D. Foulk in 1955 [1995], he married the former Norma L. Baker (Stroup) with whom he recently celebrated ten years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children; the Rev. Larry K. Waltz of Williamsport, Sylvia Sue Green of Muncy, O. Jeannette W. Kidd of Oxford, Ohio and David P. Waltz of Muncy; four step children; Victor F. Stroup of Knoxville, TN, Robert E. Stroup of Chester, Ohio, David A. Stroup of Plattsburgh, NY and Rebecca L. Frank of Jersey Shore. There are 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Ken was the youngest and last of five siblings. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Mae Fox.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from First Baptist Church, 380 West Fourth Street, with the Rev. Gwen N. Bernstine officiating and Pastor Ronald D. Savits, Norma’s former pastor, participating. Friends may call at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorials be given to the church or the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by Sanders Mortuary.1
