     Elwood Franklin Ulmer was born on 24 May 1919 at Rose Valley, Gamble Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of Charles Ervin Ulmer and Margaret Sophia Dangle. Elwood Franklin Ulmer married, at age 22, Helen Louise Bower, daughter of Lawrence Sylvester Bower and Pearl A. Heim, on Saturday, 1 November 1941. Elwood Franklin Ulmer died on 11 April 1997 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 77 years, 10 months and 18 days.3,2 He was buried on 15 April 1997 in the Rose Valley Cemetery, located in Gamble Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     He was a farmer.

     Elwood Franklin Ulmer was listed in the obituary of Claire Naomi Ulmer, on 20 July 2001 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her deceased brother.4
