Mazie Edwards1

     Mazie Edwards was born on 20 August 1913 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Franklin Otto Edwards and Elizabeth E. Case.1 Mazie Edwards married Alfred R. Ulmer, son of Jacob D. Ulmer and Inez B. Williamson, circa 1936.1,2 Mazie Edwards died on 31 October 2006 at Longboat Key, Manatee County, Florida, at age 93 years, 2 months and 11 days.1 She was buried on 3 November 2006 in the Salladasburg Cemetery, located in Salladasburg, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     Her obituary was published on 2 November 2006 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Mazie E. Ulmer, age 93, formerly of Jersey Shore, died at her residence in Longboat Key, Fla., Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006. She had been a Florida resident since the early 70’s.

She was born in Jersey Shore Aug. 20, 1913, a daughter of Franklin Otto and Elizabeth E. Case Edwards.

She was married to Alfred R. Ulmer, who is deceased.

She was very active with the Longboat Key Fire Dept.

Her survivors include one sister, Beatrice Betron of Williamsport and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, Ambrose Edwards and two sisters, Mildred Brown and Amanda Sheets.

Graveside services for Mazie will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at the Salladasburg Cemetery with Sandra Myers officiating. Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home” of Jersey Shore is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to the Longboat Key Volunteer Fire Dept., 5490 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, FL 34228.1
