Edna May Shriner was born on 16 October 1920 at Allenwood, Union County, Pennsylvania.2,1 She was the daughter of William Shriner and Mary Ruth [—?—].1 Edna May Shriner married, at age 25, Charles R. Gehr, age 29, son of Charles A. Gehr and Elsie Mae Wright, on Monday, 24 December 1945.1 Edna May Shriner died on 8 September 2000 at Manor Care Health Center, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 79 years, 10 months and 23 days.2,1 She was buried in the Stoltz Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Mark Mahserjian-Smith.1
Her obituary was published on 9 September 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Edna May Gehr, 79, of 2296 Pleasant Valley Road, Cogan Station, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Manor Care Health Services, after brief illness. Her husband, Charles R. Gehr, died Nov. 5, 1994.
She was a member of Hepburn Baptist Church.
Born Oct. 16, 1920, Allenwood, she was a daughter of William and Mary Ruth Shriner.
Surviving are a son, Ted of Cogan Station; a daughter, Kathryn M. of this city; a sister, Mabel Claudius of Allenwood; four grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Mark Mahserjian-Smith, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Stoltz Cemetery, Cogan Station. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers. Arrangements are being handled by Knight-Confer’s 1914 Memorial Ave.1 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Edna's last known residence was Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
