     Charles R. Gehr was born on 1 December 1916 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Charles A. Gehr and Elsie Mae Wright. Charles R. Gehr married, at age 29, Edna May Shriner, age 25, daughter of William Shriner and Mary Ruth [—?—], on Monday, 24 December 1945.2 Charles R. Gehr died on 5 November 1994 at Leader Nursing Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 77 years, 11 months and 4 days.1,2 He was buried in the Stoltz Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
     The obituary for Edna May Shriner on 9 September 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, listed Charles R. Gehr as her deceased husband.2
