Ellen Eleanor Foresman was born on 18 March 1917 at Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of George McClelen Foresman and Anna Barnes. Ellen Eleanor Foresman married, at age 19, Robert Daniel Spotts, age 24, son of Daniel E. Spotts and Margaret Hunt, on Tuesday, 23 June 1936 at United Methodist Church, Montandon, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Benjamin Gould.

MISS ELEANOR FORESMAN, JUNE BRIDE
In a ceremony performed Tuesday evening, at 8 o'clock, in the Montandon Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. Benjamin Gould, Miss Eleanor Foresman, of 324 Locust Street, daughter of Mrs. Anna Foresman, became the bride of Robert Spotts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel E. Spotts, of 615 Cemetery Street.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Trude Reidy, of Elmira. Jack D. Rook acted as best man for Mr. Spotts.
Mr. and Mrs. Spotts are now at home in their newly-furnished apartment at 951 Park Avenue. Mr. Spotts is employed at Grit Publishing Company.
