Rachel Kiess was born in October 1782 at Möhringen, Oberamt Stuttgart, Neckarkreis, Württemberg. She was the daughter of Johann George Kiess and Dorothea Gohl. Rachel Kiess married David Young, son of David Young and Margaret [—?—], circa 1803. Rachel Kiess died on 15 August 1852 at age 69 years and 10 months.1 She was buried in the Williamsport Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
