Paul Spotts was born in 1904.1 He was the son of Daniel E. Spotts and Margaret Hunt. Paul Spotts first married Marion Monroe circa 1926. Paul Spotts married a second time Mary Sherwood circa 1935.2 Paul Spotts married Ruth McCullen circa 1948.2 Paul Spotts died on 29 July 1963 at Adrian Hospital, Punxsutawney, Young Township, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, at age 59 years.1 He was buried on 31 July 1963 in the Butler Cemetery, located in Punxsutawney, Young Township, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.1
His obituary was published on 29 July 1963 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
PAUL SPOTTS
Paul Spotts, 59, a former resident of this city, died at 5 a.m. today, Monday, July 29, 1963, in Adrian Hospital, Punxsutawney. The President of Spotts Music Center in Punxsutawney, he had suffered a heart attack July 11.
Mr. Spotts is the son of Daniel and Mary Spotts. He was a member of the First English Church in Punxsutawney. He was also a member of the Williamsport Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Backus, Vestal, N.Y., and three brothers, Walter, of South Williamsport; Robert, of this city, and Richard, of Lincoln Park, N.J.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pifer's, Punxsutawney. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
