     Christian Shafer was born in 1855 at Blooming Grove, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Johann Frederick Schäfer and Elisabeth Heim. Christian Shafer died on 22 October 1859 at Blooming Grove, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 4 years.2 He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
