Catherine Shafer

Catherine Shafer was born on 24 July 1828 at Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Friedrich Schaeffer and Elizabeth Guinter-Strobel. Catherine Shafer married Martin Ulmer, son of Leonard Ulmer Jr. and Mary Stumpf, in 1850. Catherine Shafer died on 19 November 1903 at Dawson, Richardson County, Nebraska, at age 75 years, 3 months and 26 days.1 She was buried in the Heim Cemetery, located in Dawson, Richardson County, Nebraska.
