Barbara Carlock

     Barbara Carlock was born on 31 January 1805. She has also been reported to have been born 2 January 1804. She was the daughter of Henry Carlock and Sally [—?—]. Barbara Carlock first married Gabriel VanBebber, son of John VanBebber and Margaret Chrisman, circa 1822. Barbara Carlock married a second time, at age 30, William McBee, age 36, son of Samuel McBee and Ann [—?—], on Monday, 20 July 1835 at Claiborne County, Tennessee. Barbara Carlock died on 2 March 1888 at age 83 years, 1 month and 2 days.
     She was widowed at age 27 by the death of Gabriel on 29 October 1832. Barbara Carlock, the daughter of Henry and Sally Carlock, married Gabriel VanBebber. Further William McBee married Ann Williams. Sometime in the early 1830's both Gabriel VanBebber and Ann Williams McBee died. Then on 20 July 1835, William McBee married Barbara Carlock VanBebber. Barbara Carlock and Gabriel VanBebber had four children: Emily, Alexander, Marlena, and Granville. She was widowed at age 78 by the death of William on 23 June 1883.
