Emily VanBebber was born on 12 August 1824 at Powell Valley, Claiborne County, Tennessee.1,3 She was the daughter of Gabriel VanBebber and Barbara Carlock. Emily VanBebber married, at age 16, Samuel McBee, age 18, son of William McBee and Ann Williams, on Thursday, 25 February 1841 at Claiborne County, Tennessee.1 Emily VanBebber died on 3 May 1890 at White Plains, Putnam County, Tennessee, at age 65 years, 8 months and 21 days.4,1,3 She was buried Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, White Plains, Putnam County, Tennessee.4
She was widowed at age 64 by the death of Samuel on 11 June 1889.4,1
