Sarah Angeline Maxwell was born on 2 August 1863 at Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. She was the daughter of James C. Maxwell and Letitia VanBibber. Sarah Angeline Maxwell married, at age 18, Nelson A. Pope, age 25 on Thursday, 22 December 1881 at Lancaster, Crawford County, Arkansas. Sarah Angeline Maxwell died on 1 December 1949 at Alma, Crawford County, Arkansas, at age 86 years, 3 months and 29 days. She was buried in the Hatfield Cemetery, located in Crawford County, Missouri.
