John Wesley Maxwell

     John Wesley Maxwell was born on 2 December 1857 at Cave Springs, Greene County, Missouri.¹ He was the son of James C. Maxwell and Letitia VanBibber.¹ John Wesley Maxwell first married, at age 37, Nettie Atwell, age 14, daughter of George Washington Atwell and Elizabeth Manning, on Thursday, 29 August 1895 at Crawford County, Arkansas.¹ John Wesley Maxwell married a second time, at age 46, Cordelia Ann Lamb, age 18, daughter of Moses Thompson Lamb and Polly Ann Arnold, on Sunday, 13 November 1904 at Hobtown, Crawford County, Arkansas.¹ John Wesley Maxwell died on 31 May 1946 at age 88 years, 5 months and 29 days. He was buried in the Gracelawn Cemetery, located in Crawford County, Arkansas.
