     Kathryn Viola Mahaffey was born on 11 August 1888 at Hepburnville, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Moses I. Mahaffey and Mary E. Berry.3 Kathryn Viola Mahaffey married Ellis Thompson Waltz, son of Wilhelm G. Waltz and Margaret Elizabeth Bower.1 Kathryn Viola Mahaffey died on 12 February 1988 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 99 years, 6 months and 1 day.2 She was buried on 15 February 1988 in the Mound Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
