Pat Edward Nichols was born on 11 November 1899 at Nicholas County, West Virginia. He was the son of John Edgar Nichols and Lydia Jane Keenan. Pat Edward Nichols married, at age 26, Margaret Delaney Pettit, age 19, daughter of Ernest Leslie Pettit and Winniferd Lucy Chesley, on Monday, 27 September 1926 at Burlington, Kit Carson County, Colorado. Pat Edward Nichols died on 15 August 1937 at Montana at age 37 years, 9 months and 4 days.
