DeLos Durrwachter Beach1,2

     DeLos Durrwachter Beach was born on 24 April 1922 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,4 He was the son of Norman Charles Beach and Mary Jennie Durrwachter.5 DeLos Durrwachter Beach married, at age 26, Ruth Eleanor Phillips, age 25, daughter of Thomas H. Phillips and Alice O. Waggoner, on Saturday, 26 June 1948 at All Saints Episcopal Church, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.6 DeLos Durrwachter Beach died on 25 March 2003 at Roseview Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 80 years, 11 months and 1 day.3,7 He was buried on 29 March 2003 in the Stoltz Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Mark Mahserjian-Smith.8
     DeLos Durrwachter Beach was a lifelong dairy farmer. As of March 2001, DeLos Durrwachter Beach lived at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.9

     DeLos Durrwachter Beach the brother of Gladys Edith Beach was listed in her obituary on 22 March 2001 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.10

     DeLos Durrwachter Beach the brother of Doris Carolyn Beach was listed in her obituary on 7 July 2002 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.11 His obituary was published on 27 March 2003 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     DeLos D. Beach, 80, of 626 Beach Drive, Cogan Station, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, in Rose View Center following an extended illness. He and his wife, the former Ruth E. Phillips, observed their 54th wedding anniversary on June 26.

DeLos was a member of the Hepburn Baptist Church, a lifelong dairy farmer, a member of the Northeast Milk Producers Assoc. and was a road foreman for Hepburn Township for several years.

He and his wife contributed much to the continuation of the Stoltz Cemetery.

Born April 24, 1922, in Hepburn Township, he was a son of Norman and Mary J. Durrawachter Beach.

Surviving besides his wife is a son, Richard D. of city; daughters Judy E. Back of Huntsville, Ala., and Joyce E. Rogers of city; sister Bernice Paulhamus of city; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Paulhamus and Doris Emig.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Mark Mahserjian-Smith, his pastor, officiating. There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Stoltz Cemetery, Hepburn Township. The family will provide the flowers.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made to the Hepburn Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 2917 Pleasant Valley Road, Cogan Station, PA 17728.12
