     Doris Carolyn Beach was born on 30 October 1923 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4,5 She was the daughter of Norman Charles Beach and Mary Jennie Durrwachter.6 Doris Carolyn Beach married, at age 23, Charles Norman Emig on Saturday, 10 May 1947 at Hepburn Baptist Church, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.7 Doris Carolyn Beach died on 6 July 2002 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 78 years, 8 months and 6 days.4,8 She was buried on 9 July 2002 in the Stoltz Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Ruth M. Romberger.9

     Doris C. Emig, 78, of 3805 West Fourth St., Williamsport, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, in the Williamsport Hospital. She was the wife of Charles N. Emig, whom she married May 10, 1947.

Born October 30, 1923, in Hepburn Township, she was a daughter of Norman and Mary Durrwachter Beach. She was a member of Heshbon United Methodist Church.

Surviving besides her husband are four children, Bruce A. of Salladasburg, Janet L. Irvin and Barry C. of city, and Renee S. Benson of Chapel Hill, NC; a brother, Delos Beach of Cogan Station and a sister, Bernice Paulhamus of city; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Paulhamus.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Ruth M. Romberger, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Stoltz Cemetery, Hepburn Twp. Friends may call at Sanders from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.12
