James Christopher Foshee was born in June 1860 at Tennessee. He was the son of Elijah Oliver Foshee. James Christopher Foshee married, at age 19, Mary E. Davis, age 19, daughter of Jessie Lorenzo Davis and Louisa Hutts, on Sunday, 25 January 1880 at Gatewood, Ripley County, Missouri. James Christopher Foshee died in July 1923 at age 63 years and 1 month.
