Carrie B. Fields VanBibber, 102, went to be with her Lord on Friday morning, June 29, 2007 in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Ky.
She was born in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of the late Columbus Fields and Emma Hale Fields.
She was a teacher and homemaker, and a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Warnock, Ky., and Radiance Chapter of the Eastern Star No. 427 of South Shore, Ky. She was also a charter member of the Greenup County Homemakers.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice H. VanBibber on Sept. 11, 1970; one son, Clyde VanBibber; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Fred VanBibber and Marge VanBibber of South Shore, and L.M. VanBibber and Belva VanBibber of Greenup, Ky; two daughters, Wilma Brown and her husband, Willis Brown of Marysville, Ohio and Joyce Ann VanBibber of Seaman, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Kail Ruffner, minister officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Ky. 1, South Shore.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 tonight and at 9 a.m. Sunday.
