Mr. L.M. VanBibber, 79, of Lynn, Ky., died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, in Wurtland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland, Ky.
He was born Oct. 29, 1928, in Fulton, Ohio, a son of the late Maurice Hill VanBibber and Carrie Fields VanBibber.
He worked 30 years a carman for the N&W Railroad and was a farmer and livestock dealer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Clyde VanBibber.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Belva Young VanBibber; four sons, Maurice (Debbie) VanBibber of Maloneton, Ky., Mark (Becky) VanBibber of Ashland, Ky., Donnie (Paula) VanBibber of South Shore, Ky., and Ronnie (Kathy) VanBibber of Lynn, Ky; two daughters, Anita (Jeff) Braden of Lynn and Jana (Brent) Mullholland of Lynn; 12 grandchildren, Chris (Valerie) VanBibber, Stephanie (Kyle) Bryan, Chad Braden, Hope Braden, Kala (Chad) Howard, Kele (Kayla) Mullholland, Eden VanBibber, Megan VanBibber, Kara Mullholland, Cody VanBibber, Dillon VanBibber and Jason VanBibber; seven great-grandchildren, Brice VanBibber, Kiersten VanBibber, Kyle VanBibber, Brady Howard, Grace Howard, Kylie Bryan and Kennedy Bryan; a brother, Fred (Margie) VanBibber of Maloneton; two sisters, Wilma (Willis) Brown of Marysville, Ohio, and Joyce VanBibber of Seaman, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Hazel VanBibber and Sophia Hunt; a host of nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Donna McConnell of Greenup, Ky.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., by Pastor Joe Ed Rice. Burial will be in Brickunion Cemetery in Greenup.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
