William Harrison Updegrove

     William Harrison Updegrove was born on 22 January 1834 at Ohio.1 He was the son of Thomas F. Updegrove and Margaret Blair.1 William Harrison Updegrove married, at age 37, Sara Elizabeth Thomas, daughter of John Thomas and Susan Cooper, on Thursday, 10 August 1871 at Van Wert, Van Wert County, Ohio.1 William Harrison Updegrove died on 22 January 1937 at Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, at age 103 years.1
     He appeared on the census of 11 September 1850 in the household of Thomas F. Updegrove and Margaret Blair at Wayne Township, Wayne County, Ohio.1 William Harrison Updegrove was a teacher and local postmaster at Van Wert, Van Wert County, Ohio.1 He and Sara Elizabeth Thomas appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 at Van Wert, Van Wert County, Ohio. Harrison was a teacher and also postmaster at Van Wert, Ohio. They resided in Rockville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, then moved to Van Wert, Ohio. He was a Past Patriarch of No. 61 Marion Encampment, I.O.O.F.1
