     Charles S. Murr was born on 18 December 1870 at Salisbury Township, Lancaster or Lehigh County (?), Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of David S. Murr and Susan Troop.1 Charles S. Murr married, at age 20, Josephine Cecilia Whitaker, age 31, daughter of John G. Whitaker and Mary C. Yost, on Wednesday, 20 May 1891 at Evangelical United Brethren Church, Quincy, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.1 Charles S. Murr died on 24 February 1964 at age 93 years, 2 months and 6 days.1 He was buried in lot #50, in the Bridgeville Evangelical Christian Curch Cemetery, located in Chester County, Pennsylvania.1
