     John G. Whitaker was born on 21 June 1838 at Union Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Isaac Whitaker and Mary Boice. John G. Whitaker married Mary C. Yost, daughter of Joseph Yost and Elizabeth Kepler, circa 1858.1 John G. Whitaker died on 1 February 1928 at Zions Home, Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, at age 89 years, 7 months and 11 days.1 He was buried in the Bridgeville Evangelical Christian Curch Cemetery, located in Chester County, Pennsylvania.1
