     Winfield Lewis Kiess was born on 8 November 1911 at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of Reuben Kiess and Emily Estella Cline. Winfield Lewis Kiess married, at age 28, Dorothy G. Williams, age 22, daughter of Melvin Bertie Williams and Margaret Ann Updegraff, on Friday, 10 November 1939 at Lycoming Christian Church Parsonage, Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Howard L. Krause.1 Winfield Lewis Kiess died on 31 May 1995 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 83 years, 6 months and 23 days.2 He was buried on 2 June 1995 in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, located in Montgomery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     He was Plumber/Pipefitter.
