John Fernley Simpers married, at age 24, Anna Maria Ferguson, age 20, daughter of John Scott Ferguson and Mary Janet Abrams, on Thursday, 1 January 1885 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.1 John Fernley Simpers died on 24 October 1945 at Cecil County, Maryland, at age 85 years, 8 months and 18 days.1
