Bessie Virginia Park

     Bessie Virginia Park was born on 8 April 1903 at Brookside, Cogan House Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She has also been reported to have been born 26 March 1903. She was the daughter of Edward Park and Agnes Carson. Bessie Virginia Park married, at age 18, Otto B. Wurster, age 25, son of Adam Wurster and Martha Getz, on Tuesday, 28 February 1922. Bessie Virginia Park died on 7 August 1991 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 88 years, 3 months and 30 days.2,1 She was buried on 10 August 1991 in the Salladasburg Cemetery, located in Salladasburg, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
     She was a cook for the Ross Club. She is really a foster sister to Otto as stated in Lloyd Wurster's obituary. It appears that either Bessie's birth parents were both killed or just her mother, because of this David and Maria (Watts) Wurster raised her in 1910. As of November 1935, Bessie Virginia Park and Otto B. Wurster lived at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3

     Bessie Virginia Park the sister of Oda Lee Wurster was listed in her obituary in November 1935 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
