Myrtle Burson was born on 5 March 1866 at Jerseyville (later Shade), Athens County, Ohio.1 She was the daughter of James B. Burson and Mary Morrison Creamer. Myrtle Burson first married, at age 17, John E. Ruth on Wednesday, 15 August 1883.1 Myrtle Burson married a second time, at age 21, William Johnson on Wednesday, 23 November 1887 at Athens County, Ohio.1 Myrtle Burson died on 1 January 1894 at age 27 years, 9 months and 27 days.1 She was buried in the Burson Cemetery, located in Shade, Athens County, Ohio.1
