     John Burson was born on 14 June 1830 at Columbiana County, Ohio.1 He was the son of James C. Burson and Hannah Powell. John Burson married, at age 24, Sarah Louise Creamer, age 15, daughter of Joseph Creamer and Mary Ann Morrison, on Sunday, 25 February 1855 at Jerseyville (later Shade), Athens County, Ohio.1 John Burson married Elizabeth Milliken. John Burson died on 17 October 1918 at age 88 years, 4 months and 3 days.1 He was buried in the Creamer Cemetery, located in Shade, Athens County, Ohio.1
