Seldon Morrison Creamer1

M, (9 August 1843 - 13 August 1913)
     Seldon Morrison Creamer was born on 9 August 1843 at Jerseyville (later Shade), Athens County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Joseph Creamer and Mary Ann Morrison.1 Seldon Morrison Creamer married, at age 22, Hannah Jane McClurg, age 19, daughter of Joseph McClurg and Sarah Pierce, on Thursday, 11 January 1866 at Athens County, Ohio.1 Seldon Morrison Creamer died on 13 August 1913 at age 70 years and 4 days.1 He was buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, located in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas.2
     Seldon served in the Civil War as a member of the 180th Ohio Volunteers in Company D. He fought at the Battle of Shiloh and Chattanooga and was a member of Washington Post #10, Grand Army of the Republic from 25 September 1861 till 9 November 1864. He and his family lived in Athens Co., OH, then moved to Jefferson Co., KS in 1886. He and Hannah Jane McClurg appeared on the census of 20 April 1910 at Lawrence, 2nd Ward, Douglas County, Kansas.
