Catharina Stäbler was born on 5 December 1833 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Johann Michael Stäbler and Margaretha Hurr. Catharina Stäbler married, at age 27, John Walley Groesbeck, age 28, son of Garrett E. Groesbeck and Elizabeth Walley, on Monday, 11 March 1861 at Floyd County, Iowa. Catharina Stäbler died on 5 March 1900 at Floyd County, Iowa, at age 66 years and 3 months. She was buried in the Beckwith Cemetery, located in Floyd County, Iowa.
