Betty S. Shuman was born on 18 July 1922 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,1 She was the daughter of Royden W. Shuman and Catharine May Greenway.2 Betty S. Shuman first married Sanford Edward Livermore, son of Oliver D. Livermore and Alice Bumbarger, circa 1940. Betty S. Shuman married a second time, at age 41, Richard Thomas Ulmer, age 23, son of Harry LeRoy Ulmer and Bernice Evelyn Vaughn, on Friday, 10 April 1964. Betty S. Shuman died on 7 January 2005 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 82 years, 5 months and 20 days.2,1

Born July 18, 1922, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Royden W. and Catharine May Greenway Shuman.
Betty was a member of the Church of the Ascension.
Surviving are a son, Steven Livermore of Cogan Station; two daughters, Catherine Rothhammer of Denver, Colo. and Susan Swayze of Ruidoso, N.M; 11 grandchildren, Steven, Royden Jr., William, Heidi, Cory, Melissa, Christopher, Cyndra, Catherine, Caitlin and Caryn; 13 great grandchildren; sister Marguerite Smith of city; and brother, Ray Shuman of South Williamsport.
A son, Royden T. Livermore, died May 30, 2000.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Church of the Ascension, 2101 Linn St., with the Rev. Charles J. Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Arrangements by Sanders Mortuary.2 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Betty's last known residence was Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
