     Charles Alvin Ulmer was born on 6 September 1916 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Harry Edward Ulmer and Sarah Alice Hart. Charles Alvin Ulmer married, at age 23, Luella E. Bassett, age 16, daughter of William Bassett and Lulu Jones, on Saturday, 16 March 1940.2 Charles Alvin Ulmer died on 2 February 1994 at Sycamore Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 77 years, 4 months and 27 days.1 He was buried on 4 February 1994 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     He was employed as a security guard for Avco Company. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in the European Theather during WWII circa 1942.
